West Lothian Council operates an easy-in, easy-out letting policy. Units are available on a month-to-month basis, on standard lease terms. Tenants are responsible for the internal repair and maintenance of the units. East Calder is a small rural conurbation accessible by means of the A71 trunk road. The village lies 14 miles west of Edinburgh and approximately 2 miles to the east of Livingston new town. The A71 links to Kilmarnock (57 miles) and Irvine (64 miles) in the west and to the Edinburgh City By-pass in the east. Bus services connect the town to Edinburgh and other towns and villages in the area.
